What Internet speeds are available?
ELPASOTEL® is excited to introduce the new, faster Net Pro™ 7Mbps and Net Pro™ 12 Mbps services. We also added our highest speed for Wireless Broadband -- 5Mbps/2Mbps
Does the way I use the Internet matter when determining the right speed for me?
Yes. This is especially true if you are running real-time applications or sending and receiving large files.
- Streaming video or watching TV online - go for higher downstream speed
- Most streaming video requires a minimum bandwidth of 300Kbps
- Online gaming – look at higher upstream speed
- Pictures and other large files – higher download and upload speeds will get it there more quickly
Will there be a charge if I upgrade my current Internet Service to a higher speed?
There is no one-time charge to upgrade to a higher speed. Current monthly rate will apply (refer to Rate Card at www.elpasotel.com/ratecard
What if I don’t want to switch to a different product?
You are not required to switch to a different product.
Customers with 1Mbps service will automatically be upgraded to 1.5Mbps and get a lower rate.
What is the benefit of upgrading my service?
- You get more speed.
- access Internet, make your search, book your flight, make your purchase, and get done quickly – so you can do other things
- More bandwidth for large uploads, downloads and faster, smoother streaming video
I do not have a home phone. Do I need a home phone to get Internet Services?
No problem. You can get ELPASOTEL® Internet Services with no voice service required.
With my business, I want to have an online presence. Can I get Web site design services?
What is the e-mail box storage space?
Each mailbox is limited to 50 MB. Up to 5 e-mail boxes are included with your ELPASOTEL® Internet Service at no additional charge.
What is the limit for sending bulk e-mail?
The maximum number of recipients is 50.
Is there a size limit for incoming or outgoing e-mail messages?
The maximum size of an individual outgoing/sending e-mail message is 10MB. There is no size limit for incoming messages. You may get an incoming message bounced if e-mail box is full.
