Recently Elpasotel customers may have recieved a very legitimate looking email from 'New Egg'  an online electronic sales firm. It contains information about "your recent purchase being succesfully charged to your preferred account"
This is, by New Egg's own admission a phishing email that did not come from their business. If you recieve one with questionable information, do not click on any links in the email and report it to New Egg and/or Elpasotel, then delete it from your computer.
Email scams are more and more prevelant these days. Remember, don't open or access a questionable email, or mail from an unknown source. Make sure to have a good antivirus program installed and kept up to date on any system that accesses the internet over your home network.
